Sara is a middle-aged woman who worked as a translator in Iran. Short in stature and often in dark clothes accessorised with large hoop earrings and sparkly gold fingernails, she cuts a striking figure. Sara’s work as a translator has met many obstacles, some of which contributed to her flight to Melbourne. Now, Sara stays busy, constantly volunteering, writing, and contributing to the community even though she’s yet to receive the right to work.
