An effervescent Malaysian-Sri Lankan woman in her thirties, Priya flew to Australia with her husband, Charith, to apply for protection. There were numerous troubles; with her and Charith’s employers in Malaysia, with her father, and with her ex-husband, eventually forcing the family to flee.
Priya has two children, Irene and Aaron, from a previous marriage – both of primary school age.
