Arash is a clean-cut man in his mid-to-late twenties. With sophisticated tastes and fluent English, Arash is a qualified accountant who once worked for a large foreign organisation in Iran – a job that led to his persecution. Now, living in Preston with a group of Iranian men, Arash is continually frustrated. He often expresses a sense of time passing him by, of feeling undervalued because he’s not allowed to work in Australia for the sole reason of choosing to come to here by boat.
